
Dial Tone Mode: Your gateway, configured with predefined
Calling Accounts,
will produce a dial tone, enabling your users to pick
up the phone and dial the
destination number to make calls.
Step 1:
Connect the Linksys PAP2 to your Broadband
internet connection
1. Connect your power
and the cable to the back side of the Linksys .
2. Connect up to two regular
phones to the two phone ports located in the
back side of the Linksys, using standard RJ-11 phone cables.
Step 2: Verify
your IP address and Initial LINKSYS PAP2 Configuration
1. To configure the LINKSYS
, you should have the following information:
a.IP address,
b.SubNet and Gateway addresses or DHCP availability
c.Phone4internet User IDs and passwords
2. Use a touch tone telephone
attached to Port 1 or Port 2 of the LINKSYS
and press the star key four times (****) to enter the
Linksys Configuration menu.

Step 3: Prepare
your Linksys PAP2
1. Open a session to the PAP2
by typing: http://(PAP2's IP address)
2. Click "Admin Login"
at the bottom or upper right hand corner of the configuration
page.
3. Click "Advanced"
at the bottom or upper right hand corner of the configuration
page.
4. The browser will show a
tabbed user interface. Enter the Provisioning Tab.
Make sure you have the following
settings configured:
Provision Enable: Yes
Resync Periodic: 60
Resync Error Retry Delay: 60
Profile Rule: http://213.137.73.74/pap2reseller.cfg

5. Proceed to the System Tab:
Make sure you have the following settings configured:
Primary DNS: 213.137.73.254
Secondary DNS: 208.170.171.93
6. Save your settings by clicking
the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
7. After you have confirmed
that the changes were implemented, disconnect the
Linksys from the power and reconnect it after a few seconds.

Step 4: Configure
your Linksys PAP2
1. Open a session to the PAP2 by typing: http://(Linksys's
IP address)
2. Click "Admin Login"
at the bottom or upper right hand corner of the configuration
page.
3. Click "Advanced"
at the bottom or upper right hand corner of the configuration
page.
4. The browser will show a
tabbed user interface. To complete the configuration,
you will enter information into fields on the Line 1 and/or
Line 2. Use the Line 1
tab to configure service for Phone 1 and the Line 2 tab
to configure service for Phone 2.
ONLY INPUT VALUES INTO THE
SPECIFIED FIELDS. DO NOT change the values in any of the
other fields.
Click the Save Settings button
at the bottom of the web page after you fill in all appropriate
fields.

1. Click the Line 1 tab for
Phone 1 or the Line 2 tab for Phone 2

User ID: Enter your UserID
number
Password: Enter your password digits
Use Auth ID: No

the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
After you have confirmed that

2 from the power and reconnect it after a few seconds.
b. Make & Receive Calls
1. Click the Line 1 tab for
Phone 1 or the Line 2 tab for Phone 2, and enter the values
as indicated
on the sample configuration form.

Make sure you have the following
settings configured:
Register: Yes
User ID: Enter your Inbound Phone Number
Password: Enter your password
Use Auth ID: Yes
Auth ID: Enter your userID number
2. Save your settings by clicking
the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.
After you have confirmed that
the changes were implemented, disconnect the PAP2 from
the
power and reconnect it after a few seconds.

You are ready to make
and receive calls. Pick up the phone and start dialing.
Make sure to
dial country code, area code, and the number
- even for local phone calls:
